Plush towels folded on a bathroom shelf

Behind every towel lies one essential truth: the quality of the yarn determines everything —
the softness, strength, absorption, and even how long it survives repeated washing. At
Pakistan Fibres, we don’t just supply towels — we build them from the yarn upward, giving
our clients a clear understanding of the raw materials involved.

<p>
Most towels today are made from 100% cotton yarn, but that’s only the start. The yarn itself
can be spun in many different ways, each producing a towel with a distinct texture and
performance. The most commonly used types are open-end (OE), ring-spun, and combed
cotton yarns. Open-end yarn is more economical and faster to produce but gives a slightly
rougher and less durable towel — suitable for budget or short-use environments. Ring-spun
yarn, on the other hand, is finer, stronger, and smoother. It results in more absorbent and
softer towels that last longer — widely used in hotel-grade products. Combed cotton yarn is
even more refined — where short fibers are removed, and only the longest, strongest
strands are kept. This produces extremely soft, strong, and luxurious towels, perfect for
5-star hotels or premium retail brands.

Some towels also use zero-twist or low-twist yarns — designed to create a fluffier, softer
texture, especially after the first few washes. These towels absorb faster and feel plush but
may wear out faster if not cared for properly. Then there are blends — cotton-polyester yarns
that reduce cost and drying time but may slightly reduce absorption. In some cases,
bamboo-cotton or modal-cotton blends are used for their unique silky finish and antibacterial
properties.

In our production line, we offer yarn options that match your market’s demand — whether
you want economical bulk supply or luxury-grade branded pieces. You can even choose yarn
counts based on your ideal GSM and construction: coarse 10s and 12s for rugged industrial
towels, or fine 20s and 24s for soft retail bath towels. Our team guides you through these
options so you don’t just buy towels — you get towels that match your exact specs, budget,
and target customer.

If you’re planning to launch your own towel brand or want to upgrade your existing product
line, understanding yarn types is the first step. And at Pakistan Fibres, we take you from
fiber to finish.
